AEONION covers health, medicine, biology, and major developments in science and technology. Stories are selected for their scientific significance, relevance, and potential to help readers understand a changing field. Novelty alone is not evidence of importance.
News and Notes
News reports and explains research, discoveries, technologies, and major scientific developments. Notes provides analysis, commentary, observations, and open questions. Interpretation should be identifiable as interpretation, and speculation should not be presented as an established finding.
Before publication
The editorial process includes checking central claims against the cited sources, identifying the study population and design where relevant, considering limitations, and reviewing headlines and images for misleading implications. Press releases can help identify a story, but should not substitute for the underlying evidence when it is available.
AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting, or editing. They are not a source of evidence. The editor remains responsible for verifying factual claims, references, and the final text, and approves publication. AI-generated illustrations should be identified as illustrations and must not be presented as documentary evidence.
Accountability and independence
Articles with an AEONION byline are attributed to the publication. The publisher is responsible for editorial decisions and can be contacted at support@aeonion.com. Publication on AEONION is not itself academic peer review or institutional endorsement.
Relevant sponsorships, affiliate relationships, and product interests must be disclosed alongside affected content. Commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions. Corrections remain possible after publication.
